Trees and Forests of Turkey Photo Competition

The Delegation of the European Commission to Turkey organised in 2008 a photo competition entitled “Trees and Forests of Turkey”, as part of its communication activities under the theme of “environment”.

Overall, 910 photos from 535 participants were submitted during the competition. Approximately 5,500 people placed 14,500 votes through the on-line system on this website.

On behalf of all the entrants in the competition, a 5000 trees-contribution was made by the EC Delegation to Turkey to the METU Ataturk Forest.

The competition was organised in partnership with National Geographic Turkey Magazine, and NTV Publications, with the support of Radio Mydonose.
