Jean Monnet Scholarships

Within the framework of Turkey’s aspirations for full membership to the EU, Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme, a project funded by the European Union (EU), aims to support Turkey’s administrative capacity building efforts for the effective implementation of the EU acquis, through enhancing its human resources in the relevant disciplines.

The Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme which started under an agreement signed between the Turkish Republic and the European Commission in 1989 is one of Turkey’s most long established and prestigious scholarships. Within the scope of the scholarship, Turkish officials, students, academics and private sector employee are supported to pursue a postgraduate degree or a research for no longer than one year. Jean Monnet Scholarships, as one of the most important human bonds between Turkey and the EU, offers to Turkish nationals from different sectors the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills on EU acquis as well as the opportunity to experience life in Europe.
