The Delegation of the European Union to Turkey has published a flyer “EU Action for the Roma” which gives an overview of the Commission's legislative, financial and political tools for supporting Roma inclusion in Europe. (24.08.2010)

Today, I spoke by telephone with United Nations' Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon ahead of Thursday's special General Assembly meeting in New York on Pakistan and expressed the EU's readiness to support UN efforts in the wake of the recent floods there. (19.08.2010)

The Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme Evaluation Committee has evaluated the results of the interviews held between 19 July – 02 August 2010 following the written exam taken on 17 April 2010 within the framework of the 2010-2011 academic year Scholarship Programme and has determined the list of candidates eligible for a scholarship. On this day, we celebrate indigenous peoples, and pay tribute to the enormous contribution their traditions and knowledge have made to the world's cultural heritage and to the sustainable development of our planet.
