As a part of the ‘‘Cultural Communication: Active European Citizenship through Arts and Music’’ project supported by the Delegation of the European Commission to Turkey, young people from Turkey, Germany and Greece have illustrated their opinions about the “Europe of 2057’’ through art and music.(05.08.2008)

A book on legends and talismans of Istanbul has been published as part of the ARCHIMEDES Project within the framework of the MED-PACT Programme. "ARCHIMEDES" stands for "Action to Regenerate Cities and Help Innovate Mediterranean Economic Development Enhancing Sustainability". The project is led by Venice and Istanbul as co-leaders, in cooperation with Bordeaux (France), Genova (Italy), Oran (Algeria), El-Mina (Lebanon) and Beirut (Lebanon).

The European Online Academy (EOA), a postgraduate programme for young professionals, is organised by the Centre International de Formation Européenne in close cooperation with the Jean Monnet Chair for Political Sciences of the University of Cologne. Through a combination of e-learning and compact face-to-face phases in Berlin, Brussels, Budapest and Rome the EOA is an ideal training and additional qualification for young professionals, postgraduates and junior officials interested in or already working in the field of European integration. The Barcelona Process, launched by Euro-Mediterranean Foreign Ministers in November 1995, formed an innovative alliance based on the principles of joint ownership, dialogue and co-operation. It brings together the 27 Members of the European Union and 12 Southern Mediterranean states. A Joint Declaration was adopted at the Paris Summit for the Mediterranean on 13th July.(21.07.2008)
