The most delicious taste of Southeastern Anatolia, Antep pistachio is on the way to EU

On 12 September 2007, Gaziantep EU Info Relay organised “Anteppistachio in EU Harmonisation Process Seminar” with Anteppistachio Promotion Association with the participation of pistachio producers and exporters.

In the seminar, Common Agricultural Policy, consumer habits of Single Market and the position of the anteppistachio, which is one of the most important sources of the revenue in Gaziantep region, were discussed. Ms. Deniz Altınalev, Head of the İGEME (Export Promotion Centre) Agriculture Department was the keynote speaker of the seminar and Mr Çağatay Özden, Mrs. Gülay Babadoğan and Mr. Asım Çalış had presentations on Anteppistachio and EU Market.
