EU-SMAP Workshop: Tourism in the Mediterranean

A three-day regional workshop on Sustainable Tourism and Coastal Zone Management opens in Istanbul on 19^th February, with the participation of about 100 people from the Mediterranean area and the European Commission.

 

Participants will focus on the following key themes: Development planning in coastal regions, tourism and land use management, public-private partnerships for promoting sustainable development, voluntary steps taken by the private sector (ecolabeling, certification), diversifying the supply of tourism services in the region.
