Consultation Process for EC Assistance to Civil Society

The EU supports civil society actions for a strong democratic reform process in Turkey through the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR). The EIDHR is a European Union programme that aims to promote and support human rights and democracy worldwide. On an annual basis, the Delegation of the European Commission to Turkey identifies country specific strategic priorities to be addressed through a call for proposals. For more information on the EIDHR Programme you can refer to the EU and Civil Society Section of the website of the Delegation of the European Commission to Turkey.

Please click here for the indicative priorities for the year 2008. The Delegation of the European Commission would now like to consult non-governmental organisations in Turkey on the priorities set out in this document.

We would therefore like to invite your organisation to submit any comments you may have.

When commenting, please use the reference EIDHR/2007-2008 CfP/Draft Priorities. Also, please clearly refer to the section of the document you are commenting on, and please keep your comments short and concise. All comments should be sent by e-mail to Delegation-Turkey-PROCTEAM@ec.europa.eu or by post to the Delegation of the European Commission to Turkey, no later than 10 March 2008.
