EU Commissioner Olli Rehn will pay a two-day visit to Turkey on 4-5 June 2007. On the first day, Commissioner Rehn will be part of the Ministerial Troika meeting with Turkey, together with the German and Portuguese Ministers. Consultations with the Turkish delegation headed by H.E. Mr. Abdullah Gül, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, will focus on EU-Turkey relations as well as regional and current international issues.

On the same day, Commissioner Rehn will inaugurate an EU Information Centre in Ankara. The following day Commissioner Rehn, together with Commissioner Andris Piebalgs, in charge of Energy, will attend the EU-Turkey Energy Conference in Istanbul.
