“Baby Brides” Non-Dialogue Short Film Synopsis Competition

Applications for the Non-Dialogue Short Film Synopsis Competition, which is the first activity of the "Baby Brides" project, have started. The project is carried out by the Flying Broom & International Women's Film Festival Dortmund-Cologne. The application deadline is 15 April 2008.

The "Baby Brides" project is financed within the framework of the EU’s Civil Society Dialogue - Culture in Action Programme. The project aims at drawing attention to and raising consciousness as regards "early and forced marriages," one of the most important social and cultural problems in many parts of the world. The competition constitutes the first activity of the project that has been going on since December 2007.
