EU - TURKEY DIALOGUE WITH PHOTOGRAPHS

This project is funded by the EU Civil society organizations from the EU Member States and Turkey have been coming together to work in partnership projects since 2008. By enabling people to work and get to know each other better, these partnerships bring societies closer together.

The Civil Society Dialogue programme provides opportunities for people in the EU and Turkey to collaborate with one another. The programme is run by Turkey’s Ministry for EU Affairs and is financed by the EU. The programme started at the end of 2010 and supports 41 cooperation projects in the fields of agriculture, fisheries, culture and arts. Individuals from different parts of society, from the fishermen of Sinop to banana producers in the Canary Islands, from German architects to dancers in Cappadocia, come together to work towards common goals and to exchange experience. The Dialogue with Photographs exhibition presents examples of the different faces, endeavours, colours, and ‘voices’ of these projects, as seen through the viewfinder of photographer Çağrı Öner. The exhibition will open on 18 January at 12:00 with the participation of Turkey's EU Minister Mr Egemen Bağış.
