The new Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Turkey Ambassador Jean-Maurice Ripert takes up his duties
Today, Ambassador Jean-Maurice Ripert presented his credentials to His Excellency President Abdullah Gül, and officially took up his duties as the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Turkey.
Ahead of the handover ceremony, Ambassador Ripert laid a wreath at the Atatürk Mausoleum and signed the guest book at the Tower of the National Pact. His entry in the guestbook said: “At Anitkabir today, I salute all citizens of the Republic in my determination to further the EU’s relations with Turkey, as a country negotiating its accession to the EU.”
