Photo Exhibition on “Balyan Family’s Contribution to Turkish Architecture” in Ankara

While hosting the photo exhibition of the EU-funded project entitled “Altogether From Past to Future: The Role of the Balyan Family in Turkish Architecture”, European Union Information Centre Ankara organised a workshop on the 5th May on the history of Balyan family and their architectural styles.

During the workshop held by architect Pelin Yavuz, a power-point presentation of the different styles used by the architects of the Balyan Family was shown to a small audience including art history teachers, architects, art students, civil engineers. The presentation was followed by a discussion on the importance of art and artists for the development of a society and the value of art in Turkey and in European countries.
