The 2-day Symposium (on 30th and 31st March) and the 1st of April Festival will have well-known participants from among academicians and politicians from Turkey, Sweden, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon as well as artists and NGO representatives from these countries. The 1st of April Festival will build on the achievements of the Symposium in terms of consolidating public awareness on Assyrian culture and promotion of respect for cultural diversity.

The event is organised within the framework of a project funded by the European Initiative for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) and implemented by the Accessible Life Association, a well know Istanbul based NGO working on rehabilitation and development of socially disadvantaged groups, as well as on multiculturalism and minority issues.
