Considering the needs and demands of the non-governmental organisations, “Science in Society” theme of the 7th Framework Programme calls for proposals in order to develop the research capacity of these organisations.

Target audience: Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) - all non-profit organizations / institutions / academies working for public interest can submit proposals.

General objective: to develop research capacities of CSOs dealing with activities such as sustainable development, food safety, public health and well-being, renewable energy, discriminations, and conflict resolutions.

Overall budget: 4 million €

Project activities:

- Identifying and discussing topics and opportunities for future research initiatives.
- Mapping and assessing previous research activities in relation to CSOs needs and interests.
- Exploration of possible forms of cooperation with research centres and other research stakeholders.
- Activities that will bring CSOs together
