Jury decides winners of the 2011 European Year of Volunteering Photography Competition
The winners of the “Volunteer! Make a Difference!” Photo Competition launched by the European Union Delegation to Turkey in cooperation with Ankara Photographers Association (AFSAD) to celebrate the European Year of Volunteering were determined.
Melih Sular, Ercan Arslan and Evren Özesen were selected as the most successful photographers by the jury of several leading Turkish photographers, prominent and respected artists and experts in volunteering who met in an open jury format in front of an audience for the first time in Turkey at the Centre of Contemporary Arts in Ankara on 15 November 2011.
The jury also awarded Yunus Topal and Zeki Yavuzak with mentions, and selected a total of 28 entries from 16 photographers, including the winners, for exhibition. The award ceremony and the opening of exhibition for the selected entries will take place at the Centre of Contemporary Arts in Ankara on 2 December 2011 at 18:30.
The winning photographs and the entries selected for the exhibition will all be a part of an awareness raising campaign on volunteering.
