The three winners of the "United in diversity" story-writing competition organised by the Delegation of the European Union to Turkey were awarded at a ceremony in Buyukada on 26 June 2012. Among the 800 participants from 300 schools across Turkey, these three young artists have used their creativity to highlight the importance of "unity in diversity" for democracy and reflected upon its meaning in daily life. The winners will be invited to a trip to Brussels and one EU Member State to visit the European Union institutions and meet with European authors.
