The EU is Turkey's largest source of foreign direct investment. In the face of global financial instability, the EU remained a stable and reliable investment partner for Turkey. Accordingly, the EU accounted for about two-thirds of FDI inflows to Turkey between 2008 and 2015. The most important investor countries in Turkey are consistently EU Member States.
