Today the Head of EU Delegation to Turkey, Ambassador Christian Berger, together with the Ambassador of France, Charles Fries, and 20 EU Ambassadors participated in the ground-breaking ceremony of the new 250-bed capacity state hospital in Dörtyol, Hatay fully financed by the EU.

Mr Berger said in his speech; "In the upcoming weeks, the construction of the second state hospital in Kilis, financed fully under the Facility, will also be launched. The total investment in hospitals is above EUR 90 million."

He added "In the health sector, the total support that the EU provides under the first tranche of the Facility is around EUR 600 million. The infrastructure health projects are being complemented with the SIHHAT project, implemented by the Min of Health, with a budget of €300 million"
