Syria: Statement by the Spokesperson on the shelling of tent settlements in Idlib

On 6 November, the Syrian regime, supported by Russian airstrikes, bombed tent settlements hosting displaced civilians near the city of Idlib. At least nine people, four of them children, were killed in the attack, and more than 75 were wounded. Moreover, 400 families living in the now damaged settlements, face new displacement. The EU condemns this attack in the strongest terms and offers its deepest condolences to the families of the victims.

Mr Nureddin Nebati, Minister of Treasury and Finance of the Republic of Türkiye, and H.E. Mr Mehmet Muş, Minister of Trade. The Commissioner will also meet Mr Şahap Kavcıoğlu, Governor of the Central Bank. Furthermore, Commissioner McGuinness will meet over dinner with major business organisations.
