Binta, a little girl from Senegal, tells us about the everyday life in her village, the importance of education for the girls, and about her father’s great idea to make the world a better place.
Born in Madrid in 1964, he studied Information Sciences at the Complutense University. His career in the cinema began in 1992, when he founded the production company Pendelton Films together with Luis Manso. In 1995 he won his first Goya Award for the short film “Aquel Ritmillo”. With the premiere of “El Milagro de P. Tinto” (1998) he gained recognition as a director and screenwriter. In 2000 he created a series for the internet called “Javi y Luci”, which had over two million downloads. In 2008 he released “Camino”, a film that received six Goyas, including Best Film, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay.
