The terror of police dogs, the obsession with borders, the fear of imprisonment… What was a refugee before fleeing? And what will he become after reaching a safe place? “Split Moments” is a brief insight into the life of a man forced to flee, torn between a serene past and a tragic present.
Paolo Martino is an Italian documentary filmmaker and reporter. He lived in the Middle East and travelled extensively through the Balkans and the Caucasus. His reportage Mussa Khan, the rebel Afghan was awarded by the European Commission in 2010. His last film “A Land of Transit” was screened across theaters all over the world. He collaborates with several Italian and international magazines and production companies.
Editor, director. He has been involved in the editing of documentary films including “Just about My Fingers” and “Terra di Transito”. He works as a freelance editor for the major national television stations.
