Synopsis: A journey around Lisbon’s suburbs through the lives of a handful of musicians establishing their place to exist in a city of complex identity struggles. Different generations and backgrounds meet, Angola to São Tomé, Cape Verde and Guinea-Bissau represented by old-school musicians and young producers.

Director’s bio: Rita Maia is an internationally known club DJ, broadcaster at Gilles Peterson Worldwide FM, a curator, record collector and creative director.

Vasco Viana studied cinematography, sound and image and began his career as an assistant cinematographer. He gained critical acclaim as Director of Photography for his work in Arena and Rafa.
