AND NOW IS THE TIME FOR THE 11th EU HUMAN RIGHTS FILM DAYS!

The EU Human Rights Film Days have been bringing European films to the audience free of charge in various cities across Turkey since 2011.  This year, the event takes place between 10-19 December, online, due to the pandemic.  The Film Days bring in total 28 short and feature, international award-winning European films.  All films are screened with Turkish and English subtitles, and closed caption in Turkish.  The Film Days are not limited to film screenings alone; beyond that, discussions with directors will be accessible for the audience.

This year’s collection of films includes a variety of themes from the most pressing current issue of climate crisis, women’s position in society, gender equality, political representation and freedom of expression, to the right to education, right to access health-care services, migration and cultural dialogue; some of the films even invite us to contemplate on the role of artificial intelligence in the future.  The EU Delegation to Turkey hopes that these films of various genres and techniques such as documentary, semi-documentary, fiction, animation and stop-motion, will be stimulating and inspiring for all.

Detailed up-to-date information is available on the EU Delegation’s website and social media accounts.
