Hope lives on, it is Europe Day!
Seventy-one years ago on 9 May Europe took its first steps towards becoming a union, changing the lives of millions of people. A post-war decision to bring solidarity and peace between European countries grew into the one of the world’s most prominent actors, the European Union (EU). Since then, the EU continues to promote human rights, free trade and cooperation in the world.
As Delegation of the European Union to Turkey, we celebrate this day along with colleagues across the world. This year, the pandemic has not allowed us to join with people in Turkey under one roof but this will not stop us marking such an important occasion.
We invite you to join us for an informative and entertaining TV show that will be broadcasted on NTV and across the Delegation’s social media platforms.
The programme, presented by Seda Ogretir, will welcome several guests from the field of arts, music, politics and health.
Various artists, including the Music for Peace band will join us to bring cheerful notes to our homes.
As the pandemic separates us physically during these challenging times we remember once again how important it is to reunite and hold on to hope.
