Summary of the Action

Overall objective

To facilitate access for Syrian under Temporary Protection (SuTP) and the host population to secondary level healthcare in Hatay province, through the construction and equipment of a new state hospital in Dörtyol.

Specific objective(s)

The specific objectives are:

1. To support the Turkish authorities in their efforts to cope with the massive influx of SuTPs in Hatay province, by contributing to an increase in the quality of services of the secondary level of the health pyramid,

2. To improve access to secondary healthcare for refugees while reducing competition for health services to facilitate the host population's acceptance.

1. Construction of a state hospital in Dörtyol with a minimum capacity of 250 beds for SuTPs and the host communities.

2. Improved quality and efficiency of healthcare services and a facilitated access for patients to the second level of health infrastructures and services in Hatay province.

1. Procurement, construction and equipment supply of an operational hospital.

2.Technical assistance services including financial and technical monitoring, medical technical assistance, and communication and visibility activities.
