Overall objective |
To contribute to the socio-economic inclusion of the Syrian SuTPs to the local host communities (LHCs) through improving employment and livelihood opportunities. |
Specific objective(s) |
Specific objectives are: 1. To increase the entrepreneurial activity of the SuTPs and the host community by providing an enabling environment and support in creation of new products and markets, which are tradable beyond the local market 2. Local entrepreneurial ecosystems are more effective and inclusive for the SuTPs and the host communities 3. Policy and implementation coordination improved at the national level |

1. 5000 (potential) entrepreneurs among SuTP and LHCs trained by the project; 2. (Potential) entrepreneurs improved business links; 3. 200 entrepreneurs matched with mentors; 4. 300 new start-ups created; 5. 100 local institutions received grant; 6. 24 Local Common Used Facilities established and operationalized; 7. Capacity of 150 staff from 50 institutions developed on migration sensitive policies; 8. Local value chains linked with corporate production and marketing channels; 9. Local entrepreneurial ecosystem priorities are identified; 10. Provision of the entrepreneurial services by local institutions are developed; 11. National entrepreneurship and economic development-migration nexus related priorities are identified; 12. National, regional and local level institutions improved their policy coordination and formulation in relation to socio-economic integration; 13. Local level institutions improved implementation of the determined policies and providing feedback for policy development. |

1. Exploration of the local entrepreneurial eco-systems; 2. Capacity development of institutions on migration sensitive entrepreneurship policies; 3. Basic and technical skills training for potential entrepreneurs; 4. Matching potential and existing entrepreneurs; 5. Mentoring for potential and existing entrepreneurs; 6. Establishment of a sustainable promotion and fund raising mechanism; 7. Grants for establishment of local entrepreneurship community hubs; 8. Grants for start-ups; 9. Grants for local institutions to improve their services for the entrepreneurs; 10. Technical assistance to national level institutions in managing economic development and migration nexus; 11. Establishment of a self-functional mechanism for effective local eco-systems around local councils. |
