Summary of the Action

Main objectives

The overall objective is to cater to displaced persons' longer-term resilience in Turkey.
The specific objective is to increase access to inclusive quality higher education opportunities for Syrian students.

Main activities

  • Providing intensive university preparation courses for Syrian students (TOMER language courses).
  • Providing university scholarships under YTB's Türkiye Bursları programme.

Main outputs

  • 2,031 students enrolled in Turkish language proficiency programme.
  • 80% of enrolled students meet the language proficiency requirements for higher education admission.
  • 354 undergraduate students receive higher education scholarships over a three year period.
  • 90% retention rate of students enrolled in the higher education programme.
