Managing the Refugee Crisis: The EU Facility for Refugees in Turkey
The EU Facility for Refugees in Turkey is the answer to the EU Member States’ call for significant additional funding to support refugees in the country. The main focus areas are humanitarian assistance, education, migration management, health, municipal infrastructure, and socio-economic support. The operational funds of €3 billion for the Facility have been fully committed and contracted, with 72 projects rolled out. More than €1.85 billion has been paid out, with the balance to be paid in the course of implementation of Facility projects through to mid-2021.
